Alfred
Hitchcock Hour
A "The Alfred Hitchcock
Hour" szintén egy újabb rejtélyes feszültséggel teli TV-sorozat volt Hitchcock
felvezetésében.
Minden epizód előtt megjelent, köszöntötte a közönséget és bevezetőt mondott
az egyes epizódokhoz.
A sorozat a CBS csatornán
1962.szeptember 20-tól, csütörtökönként este 22-23 óra között volt látható
a konkorrens
ABC csatorna "Alcoa Premiere" és az NBC "The Andy Williams
Show"-val egyidőben. A harmadik évedtól az NBC sugározta hétfőnként,
szintén éjjel 10-11 között. Főként Cornell Woolrich, Ellery Queen, H.G. Wells,
Henry Slesar, John Wyndham, William Link,
Ray Bradbury és Robert Bloch írásaiból táplákozott a sorozat. Hitchcockon
kívül - többek között - Sydney Pollack és William Friedkin is rendeztek epizódokat.
1985-ban újra felélesztették
a sorozatot - az eredeti "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" és "The
Alfred Hitchcock Hour" sorozat
egyes epizódjait színesben újraforgatták, az eredeti Hitchcock bevezetőt színezték.
Számos új epizódot is készítettek.
Szintén ebben az évben az HBO filmesített meg Ray Bradbury novellái közül
néhányat,
melyből 5 szintén az eredeti "Alfred Hitchcock Presents" és egy
a "The Alfred Hitchcock Hour" sorozat epizódja volt.
